Risk & Reward Pro - planning buy while short position

I am testing the Risk & Reward Professional tool. Isn't it possible to "Plan Buy" while a Short position is running?

Hi, yes, you should be able to plan both buy and sell opening positions. Please provide the steps you are following so I can follow them to investigate.

Hi Sophia, sorry for my delayed reply. Here are my steps:

Options is setup according to the products guide.
Planning section: CTRL+ Click on Plan Sell
Execution section: Sell Market
After a while, the Sell Position is still open and working, I want to Plan Buy, but this option is greyed and I am not able to click on it.

Hi Jazz,

As long as you have an open position or order, you'll only be able to trade in the same direction. The tool cannot switch between different scenarios simultaneously.

If you frequently need to use both long and short positions at the same time, please add the indicator to a second, separate trading chart and use a different Instance-Id for this instance. After configuring all the defaults again, you can now use the second chart if the first one still has positions in the wrong direction.
