Historical Data EURUSD

Hi All,
i have purchased the Historical data of EURUSD from the ClickAlgo website.

Now when i want to do a backtest, i set up to use the CSV data instead of accurate or open.
Ctrader accept the file and read the data, but the robot is not executing any order. When i run it with the Accurate data from Ctrader directly, i don´t have this issue.

Hi, Braz, what spread are you setting for the backtest?

I just downloaded the historical data file and ran a backtest and trades opened, you could have an issue with your backtest settings.

Hi Sophia,
i tried the following:

"Starting Capital" = 2000
Commission = 30 per million
Spread = 1.0

Loading the file, the Period is set automatically from 05.05.2023 till the 01.01.2019 - (maybe you have more updated file?)

Using this setting, the robot is started, but is not executing any order.

ah, I see this is an old data file, looks like it only goes up to 2019, you can easily create your own historical data file for any symbol using the tool below.

thanks for your proposal, this could be the next step.

I would like at least to test the robot till the 2019, than i will think about the next step for the last period.

I still have the issue that the robot is not operating; if i use the csv as data, can i use the OnTick on my robot or i need to use the OnBarClose?

You can load the CSV file and run a backtest up to 2019, it should work.

Your only option is 1 min bars in csv file open prices.

I would also test with 1-min bar data (not csv) just in case you have an issuer with your settings.

The data csv file uses 1 minute bars, it does not provide tick data, but you can probable buy this online.
