Odd behavior (Neptune EURUSD)

Can anyone help me to understand why in the world the Neptune EURUSD bot opened 3 "wrong" positions on 20/02/2024 (all of which are now deeply in the red) when the backtesting phase, with exactly the same parameters and tick data, never executed these trades?

What's wrong? Why this difference between what the bot does during the backtesting and the live sessions?

Thanks for the links, Pipster. No... they don't sound like my case.

Also, in my case it's not just a "small difference" in prices, it's just like opening positions in the wrong direction and not "managing" them afterwards. And it doesn't happen during backtesting.

The first few times I thought it was my fault, but... I'm a software developer and I can tell if it's the user being wrong or the program. 🙃I'll investigate...

It's a worrying thing, so far I've almost always lost money due to this atypical behaviour. Almost always with EURUSD, but I have to say that lately all the bots are behaving strangely.

Sad...

I think I figured this out and it's INSANE.

During backtesting the bot did not open any new (bad) positions at 4.00am and 6.00am on 20/02/2024 because it was at the MAX allowed trades (3, opened the day before and closed on 20/02/2024 at noon, you can even see it in the screenshots) so even if it received the signals (the BAD signals) it did not proceed.

On my real, live session it received the (bad) signals and opened 3 positions because I had restarted the bot the night before and it had NO open positions, so it was free to go.

I think it has been an incredible amount of bad luck on my part. 😠
