If you have trades in a backtest then it is working fine, run a backtest from the date you started using it until now, if there are no trades then no trades opened.
Depending on your settings automated trading systems can be stagnant for days.

I ran a backtest for EURUSD over the past year and there were 155 trades, which is on average 12 a month, over the past week there were 3 trades and over the past 2 days, there were 0 trades.
Make sure you learn how to optimise your settings and understand that this is not a fully 100% automated system
