Switchback cBot Not Opening Trades

Hi I have a problem with my cbot (Switchback) , some times it stay frozen without making any trades until I stop it and play it again !!
It’s happened with me on 2 computers for the same account, what is the solution?!

It is normal for an automated trading system to not trade for days, this depends on your settings, it may still open trades when you restart the cBot, if you need help share your cBot settings as a file and upload it in a post.

Use the file upload icon to share the cBot settings file and I will see what's going on.

You can also run a 1 week backtest for the last week and see how many trades opened, I assumed you have optimised and backtested already as these skills are required to use this cBot and you confirmed during checkout that you understand how to do this. Also, look at your cBot log in cTrader Automate as this will show you any filters that may be blocking trades.

I make 1 week back test it give me 88 trades , I use it for simple USDJPY, if u have a better parameter file please give it to me for account of 3K

Sorry dear but I didn’t got this wards( The max spread setting of 1 when the average speed is 5.)
What u mean by 1? And where I find the average speed in the parameter sitting please?

Your problem is that the average spread for your symbol is 5, but you have a max spread of 1, this means if the spread is above 1, no trades will open. Make sure you have fully read the user guide as your settings are incorrect.

Do u mean the max spread? I put it 400, is this good or should be more ?

I just ran a backtest using tick data for the past 1 week and there were 168 trades, the account lost £119. The settings you are using are not very good, you need to optimise your settings before you attempt to use it for real-time trading.

There is nothing wrong with your cBot apart from that.

I would optimise your settings to get better backtest results and run the cBot again.

Remember the number of trades it opens in a day depends on your settings, there may be none of there may be many.

Dear Mike I know that the back test given bad results of the benefits but when I test it on demo account it give very good results, I think that the optimize strategy is given the results for people follow the strategy in bast but not exactly topical strategy but maybe close to it , and no one know exactly how it will run in future! I really made optimize give to me good result but i change a little bit on it to develop it and the second backtest give nigative results but i think it’s not accurate, if u clear to me what is the optimization strategy depending on that’s will help us to understand a lot

The backtest results are based on your cbot and backtest settings. When you optimise you need to apply the settings to your cbot and backtest over the same period, the results shoukd be identical
