Backtest Trade Assistant

Hello, trying to back test the Trade Assistent( Trial). I used the EURUSD 1HR over several months, was no results, log says:

You can only backtest automated trading systems, this is a system that requires the trader to manually open trades.

I would take a look at the user guide in more detail.

Hi Sophia,

I am using it now in Demo and it's opening trades itself.

The page says under key features - The user defines the strategy, and the bot places and manages the trades.

We have informed the vendor who owns this cBot to take a look.

Maybe it does not work with a backtest due to the fact you need to draw the trendlines first.

Also, it would be appreciated if you did a video on it, as when clicking add channel, the line appears roughly in the middle of main support, then when I was trying to set the line for the direction I wanted it opened 4 trades. 2

Also, if you are not creating these, do you not test them before advertising and selling them?

We tested it for manual trading; as far as we know, it is not designed for backtesting. I will get the vendor to reply and clarify. Regarding the video, the vendor will see these comments.

It is also quite common that a new cTrader update breaks an existing cBot or indicator, whatever the cause, I am sure the vendor will fix it or clarify the operation.

Hello Rrosscortb, Trading Assistant was designed to assist traders trading manually. To backtest it, you have to manually draw the trend lines on the chart (you define the strategy, the bot time your entries). Make sure to slow down the speed.

Hi @ProfitIslander, not sure exactly what you meant, but i started it, paused and drew my own lines and nothing happened? see image, cheers Ross
