cTrader WAE System with ATR Stop Loss

Hi,
I am optimizing the WAE system in different setups. One setup gives good results, but cannot be followed visually in the backtesting.
WAE exit is set to 0 and the ATR stop loss is activated. The first thing to notice is that for best results, hardly any Weight is given to the ATR, eg 0.3. But even when I set the starting position to eg 2 when optimizing, price regularly crosses the ATR stop loss without being triggered. At some point, the trade will stop on its own. It looks like a black box.
The results are good, but can I rely on them?

Hi, please provide screenshots of all your cbot settings and a screenshot of the chart showing a vertical line where you feel stop loss should have been triggered, I need the information on your exact setup so I can duplicate it to see what is happening.

Hi, Opeiron,

According to your settings, the ATR Trailing Stop will never work, you have the max pips settings set to 0, this setting is important and needs to be greater than the ATR distance in pips for it to work.

What this means is that if the distance from the symbol price and the ATR line is greater than the max value, the feature will work, in your case it will never work as it is set at zero. Also, note the TSL will only work when the candle closes according to your settings.

The trade was closed by the ATR TSL but with max pips of zero, there was unpredictable behaviour, I set the max pips to 50 and it worked correctly.
