bulltrend I am looking for the information whether for Backtesting, the cALGO environment supports Hedging (opening a LONG and a SHORT position simultaneously for same asset) ? This is a feature that is now covered natively for live trading in many broker and not sure if a concidence or not, some charting platforms that supported Heding in backtesting now dropped the functionality from their scripting language. I am looking around some sources including ClickAlgo ( https://clickalgo.com/cbot-backtesting ) and cannot find an answer to this question. Thanks Much!
algoman I am sure many cTrader cBots open long and short for the same symbol; this is very common with cTrader. You need a cBot that includes this feature. Many ClickAlgo trading robots do this, like the smart grid. You need to right settings.
bulltrend Hi, Does the Smart Grid accepts Hedging for backtesting of the strategy (and providing the results for the backtesting) at the cTrader environment or Hedging is only available while connected to a live brokerage platform? thanks
Pipster CTrader allows both a buy and sell to be open for sane symbol, or even multiple trades, you can also backtest no problem. Demo or live.
