Game Changing Additions to the cTrader MA Cross cBot

Please consider adding the following :

(1) Have the option to enter only 'BUY' or only 'SELL' trades. This would be based on the traders conclusion
of the Long Term Trend, usually the analysis taken from the 1H, 4H or Daily timeframe(s)

(2) Have the option to choose 'Retracement Signals' entry (similar to what's already included in the RSI cBot)

I'm sure if these two additions are implemented the traders 'Win to Loss' ratio would considerably improve.

Hi, Darryl,

We would be open to adding new features for filtering buy and sell signals to version 1 and not version 2 which we may stop supporting, as you using version 2?

Hi Mike, I only use the original MA Cross cBot (the one with two MA's) I downloaded the second version that used 4 but much prefer the simplicity of the original.

If the additions could be added to the original (V1) cBot that would be much appreciated.

Can these features add on both? 1. MA Cross 2. Classic HMA Strategy
The feature to chose BUY only or SELL only depends on where the trend is heading will be a game-changer.

You can skip on my suggestion post: Classic HMA Strategy about opening trade. More or less the same but Darryl put it in a much simplicity.
ADDITIONAL FEATURE PLEASE: to add opening distance once the price cross. Trade can open when price/candlestick crossed closed BUT also pips distance option

BUY/SELL OPTION
The same feature that is available on Dark Matter Bollinger bands -RSI strategy
You can choose "Trade Buy YES/NO" or "Trade Sell YES/NO"

I backtest Trial verision of Bollinger bands cBot
IF you chose YES for Both BUY and SELL, the results are negative
If you chose BUY for a month that the trend is up: Results is POSITIVE vice versa

TREND IS YOUR FRIEND: Once you see M, WKL, Daily heading up. chose BUY and vice versa

I have both MA Cross version 2, and Classic HMA Strategy
I have to backtest and forward test these intensively
If both of these added BUY and SELL only options will make much difference.

A new update has been published that will open trades on every MA cross, after running some tests, the results are far better, please refer to the product page for the backtest results.

Please now download the latest update of the robot, use cTrader automate to run it and in the log tab, you should see version 2.1.1 as shown below.

Hi Mike, thanks for confirmation of the update(s) I decided to get away for a short break so apologies for the delayed reply to this post.

I will test the revised version next week and report any findings.
