Hi,

If I compare Clickalgo MA crossover v1 bot (with two ma) VS ctrader inbuilt ''Sample Trend bot", and keep settings exactly same, the results are different. I am wondering why?

I did backtest using 1minute server data on USDJPY H4, 01/01/2021 to 31/12/2021, start balance $1k.
5ema close, and 15ema close. Same broker is used.
I choose NO to all other parameters of clickalgo v1 bot, i.e. I am just using Close on Crossover.

Sample bot opens 91 trades, and equity becomes $1008.
Clickalgo bot gives 58 trades, and equity becomes #1123.

Why is there a difference, if its same MA crossover?

Thanks

Hi, they use completely different indicators and they are different strategies.

Only two moving averages are used, its MA crossover. I used same EMA 5 and EMA 15 in both bots. There are no other indicators used , its simple MA crossover

The logic inside the MA crossover is not the same as the sample cbot.

Yeah, that makes sense to me. Can you please tell what logic is used to open and close positions in clickalgo MA crossover bot. In parameters, there are no options to choose anything, so is it something more than MA crossover?

I am considering buying it, but need to know what exactly is its doing.

Again, I am talking about v1 bot with 2 moving averages only. Thanks

Mike changed the title to cTrader MA crossover bot results .

@Mike#1850 Thanks for speedy replies, it all makes sense now.
