We published a new update for all 10 Neptune trading robots this Friday 18/03/2022 with new features and a new set of optimized parameter settings. All existing customers can download the update for free.
The following new features have been added.
The following features allow you to identify a medium to long term trend and only trade in that direction.
• Buy Only – only opens long trades.
• Sell Only – only opens short trades
The max spread feature will prevent trades from opening when there is no liquidity in the market like Friday afternoons when the spread can widen, this can take out tight stops or close trades that have just opened.
The equity stop target will close all trades and stop the robot when the account equity drops to a predefined target, this helps to prevent your account from dropping too low while you are not at your screen.
The equity profit target will close all trades and stop the robot when the account equity reaches a predefined target, this helps to lock in profit while you are away from the screen.
The Trading hours feature will allow you to set the start and end time the robot will trade, this can also help prevent overnight gaps in the price.
The trailing stop loss feature will move the stop loss into profit and trail behind the price on every tick of data that changes this can lock in profit and remove risk when the markets move fast, the current logic to adjust the stop loss occurs on each candle close, so usually every hour. Please note the best backtest results are with this feature turned off.
The single trade/account option will only allow a single trade open per account at any time to keep the drawdown down.
The ATR Trailing Stop has been removed.
Improved optimised results, TSL feature reduces drawdown.
Updating Existing cBots
We recommend that you backup your cBot settings, when you install version 2.5 it will replace the previous version.
Once you have installed version 2.5, you can manually update the settings that you previously saved.
Running v2.4 & v2.5 Together
It's possible to run both versions together, you first rename version 2.4 by right-clicking on the cBot in cTrader Automated and choosing the Rename option. You then install version 2.5 as you would a normal cBot by double-clicking on the file. Make sure you have a unique instance name when using the same symbol, refer to the user guide for help.
