Harmonic Scanner - unhandled exception

As i reported in the past, the scanner isn´t redrawing the patterns on the 4hour chart.
I have several pair opened in the automate part of ctrader, working on the 4hour, and during this whole week it didn´t redraw any pattern, i opened up de scanner on another computer with the same settings and there were patterns formed during the week.
I use the IC markets ctrader and in fact it´s still using the 4.1 version of ctrader, i dont know if this is the problem.
The old scanner had some issues but it worked fine in this matter.
I have tested in the the 1minute TF with low settings as requested by Paul and in fact redrawing occurs.
but not in the 4 hour.

Hi, You would need to wait weeks to see if a new pattern forms on a 4-hour chart, if it works on a 1-min timeframe, the same logic is applied to all timeframes, also, you may want to increase the days to process to 365 for a 4-hour timeframe to capture more patterns, the higher the timeframe the higher the number of days back it needs, the user guide has been updated to explain this. One reason it could be working on a 1 min timeframe and not a higher timeframe could be because of this.

A simple test to see if new patterns should have formed is to manually refresh the chart, if no new pattern is shown then there were no new patterns.

I can investigate the bug you reported above and use this for the ticket.

At the moment I cannot confirm the pattern drawing is a bug as my tests so far cannot duplicate your issue.

yes i undestand what you say with the 365 days, but it used to work with these settings (100 days 500 bars) on the old scanner, thts why i dont understand, if i manually refhresh the charts the patterns do form in the last week. And with these settings on the old scanner it showed several patterns (because it add the all patterns option).
Just for your information, i am testing it with ( 100 days 500 bars 88% accuracy) on the 1 minute TF for the last 2 hours and it only refreshed 1 time. It seems like the refreshing is stopping.
I have it opened on the automate, several pairs in one robot and each pair has the scanner as an indicator, and is not working.
I will try one more thing: i will open the pairs in the trade part of the ctrader with the scanner as indicator and the remove the indicator from the robots, maybe the robot is blocking the scan.

Ok, then i tested it as i mention before on the 1 minute TF, the robots in automate have no scanner, the scanner is on the trade part of the ctrader, with the same pairs that are in the automate, and in this configuration it kind of works, the scanner is scanning at every minute, so probably the scanner is blocked when attached to the pairs on the bot (old scanner wans´t blocking).
However, the scanner it self blocked a lot while i was testing, maybe because of to many pairs opened, or maybe because it's on the 1 min TF, nevertheless it blocks a lot, also blocking the c trader program also, shutting it down automatically once and a while.
One other thing happens wich previous scanner didn't do, when i am on the trade part of ctrader, when i click on a pair to see it, the scanner automatically makes a new scan and forms a pattern.
I am sorry Mike, but the old scanner wasn't perfect but it didn't had this issues, this one as a much less good behaviour and more errors.
Unfortunatly for me, my Harmonic robot doesnt cope well with these errors, the older worked best.

@"JoaoMGH"#p2500 The charts no longer refresh as I had mentioned in a previous post, instead, it will only replace the pattern if a new one has formed, this is why you see nothing happening at the close of the candle.

@"JoaoMGH"#p2504 These errors were introduced with the latest update of cTrader, we had to make some changes to get it working, regarding the crashing, we can fix this.

If it works with cTrader Trader and not cTrader Automate then there is an issue with the actual trading platform, for me it works fine with cTrader Automate Beta 4.2.*

Can you also explain what you mean by blocking and how many charts you have open?

If you have previously created a cBot that used the API, then you need to report a separate bug report for the API, also, your cBot code may need updating for the new version of cTrader.

Can you tell me if you are using cTrader 4.1 or 4.2?

I have found a bug where candle close patterns are removed and not replaced, I will investigate.

Bug Fixed

It was found that there was a bug when the candle closed and the chart refreshes, this has now been fixed in version 2.2.
