cTrader Risk Reward Professional Questions

@"Mike"#p3802 This worked, I got 2 questions. I have read in the users manual for this tool that there is an Expert version as well but I can't find the tool. Would you send me the link? If I use the Professional tool do I have to leave the PC running in order for the TG's etc. to work properly? or can I set the trade and close the platform afterwards?

And is it possible to get a shortcut for the tool itself instead of just the "Trade Server Pro"? Because I always have to open the main RR indicator by going into the indicator tab. I'd like to have it on the main chart and just click "play" basically like the other cBots and the Trade Server 🙂

With any cBot the platform needs to be running and connected to the internet to work.

It's not possible to have a shortcut, one product is an indicator and the other is a cBot.

If I have a long and a short on the same asset open and I click the "Risk" button in the Manual Trading section of the app, how does the app know if it should sell the amount to cover the risk on either the long or the short position? How does the program know in this case when 2 positions are open which position it should sell, either the long one or the short one. ?

This is a manual risk and reward tool for setting up trades, you as the trader decide which one to use.

Hello AlexanderMittl,

let me explain a few details:

Expert Version.
We plan to offer an Expert version at a later date - but currently there is no release schedule.
If you currently see the "Expert Version" button, you probably don't have the latest version installed.
The "Trade Server Pro"
It is best to launch the "Trade Server Pro" only once in the "Automate" section of cTrader. You can set cTrader to start cBots automatically the next time you start cTrader.
The Trade Server is necessary to execute orders/positions from the Risk-Reward indicator.
The Risk-Reward Pro itself is an indicator - and not a cBot.
You could create a template with the indicator as a "shortcut" to quickly apply it to a chart.
Please note: the settings for the indicator are saved for each instance and symbol. When you apply the indicator to a new instance and/or symbol for the first time, please go through the settings once so that they have the correct settings.
Detection of existing long/short orders/positions.
All orders/positions created by the Risk/Reward tool have individual labels by which the tool recognizes and handles them. This is also valid after a restart.
Positions/orders not created by the tool will not be changed.
Simultaneous long/short positions
The planning tool tries to prevent simultaneous long and short positions for the current instance so that it is clear, which position is closed. However, you can manage long and short positions simultaneously by opening a second chart and assigning a different instance number to the indicator in the parameters:
