Problems with cTrader Risk & Reward Professional

Hi,

Having some further issues with the Risk & Reward Professional tool.
I have charts opened in a number of tabs.
The tool will show on AUDUSD, EURUSD, GBP USD, USDJPY, US500
But won't display on USDCAD, USDCHF and NZDUSD
Also, for NZDUSD 'Missing Parameter' box for the currency comes up but it won't accept entries or close, forcing me to close the chart.

Hi Jon,

It could be possible that the problem is connected to the calculation of the commissions bound to a symbol. Therefore:

please let me know, if you already did a trade with the symbol that creates the problem?
could you check if the problem is gone when setting the following parameters for the indicator:
symbol currency: please use the last part of the symbol (e.g. NZDUSD = USD)
Force use commission: Yes
Commission Currency = Account currency

Let me know if this improves the behavior.

If it does not help, could you please try the following:

in the Options / Infos section, please try to enable the debug log:
Now you should be able to get some debug logs/messages in the main window/automate tab:

Next try to force the problem and send me the logs as private message.

Hi Carsten,

thanks for getting back to me and sorry I wasn't able to reply yesterday.

I didn't mention, but the inability to add the tool to those charts was when the charts were linked to a spreadbetting account (and have _SB added to the symbol) so I don't know if that could have been a factor because after my last post, I was able to add the tool to the same symbols when linked to a normal account.

With regard to the 'Missing Parameter' issue, when I opened a chart for US500 yesterday, the box appeared but when I followed your instructions, the info was accepted and the box closed, so I'd probably entered the wrong details last time.

Just a couple of further questions before I purchase as trial has ended now:

I noticed that with multiple tabs, if the Trade Server is running in one tab it connects to the Risk Reward tool in another tab. Is this behaviour ok and if so, is it necessary to have the Trade Server displayed on each chart?

Finally, is it not possible to set the defaults for the tool, otherwise the parameters need to be entered each time the tool is added to a chart. Also, there doesn't appear to be a way of saving any changes to the colour/lines of the boxes.

The Trade Server Pro should only be run once. So please remove it from the charts and launch it from the "Automate" section of cTrader at a single chart. Multiple instances of "Trade Server Pro" are not supported and are not necessary.

You need to distinguish between the parameters of the tool and the configuration values. When you create a template for a chart, the parameters of the tool are stored in the chart and applied to a new chart when you apply this template.
On the other hand, the configuration of the tool does not depend on the chart, but on the currency pair AND the instance number of the tool. So, each combination of symbol & instance# needs its own configuration.
This means that you will find the same configuration for the same symbol (and instance number) on every chart you use this combination on.

It sounds a bit complicated to set up the complete configuration for each symbol, but if you do it carefully, it will save your life later and make things easy. Just try to go through it, understand the implications and set it to the value you need.

I made a note for further improvements of the tool to allow copying an existing configuration from one Symbol to another to make the process easier.
