ClickAlgo Risk Reward Tool freezing

Hi,

I've just started using the tool and immediately experiencing problems - it keeps freezing.

e.g. I have 'Market' selected
Click Sell arrow for the setup
Sell button should then produce the 'New Market Order' confirmation window but instead it freezes.

Once this happens, I have to repeatedly click the stop button to get the forced stop message. I don't know if this is a clue but if it is only running on one chart it says 'Number of stopped instances:2', for 2 charts: 3 etc.

I've tried only having it running on one chart at a time and this doesn't make any difference nor does giving it a different instance name for each chart. Also tried restarting cTrader.

For some pairs it will work once and then freeze whilst for others it freezes immediately or might work a few times and then freeze. AUDCHF always seems to work first time.

Otherwise, a great tool - just need it to work as expected.

Can you tell me the version number you see in the cBot log?

We have hundreds of customers currently using the tool, but I am interested to find out why your PC is having issues.

thanks, next time it freezes, can you send me the cBot log, you can copy all text and paste it into a text file and use the upload feature of the forum to submit the file. I am currently working on v2.4 to fx a bug with a new feature we just added with changing order types from the control panel, and there are not issues on my end.

Hi Mike,

Is the log under the automate tab?

I had it open and when it froze, there was no entry in the log- it was only after it restarted that an entry appeared:

20/01/2023 13:28:21.998 | CBot instance [ClickAlgo Risk Reward Tool, EURCHF, m5] process stopped responding and was terminated.
20/01/2023 13:27:36.467 | Version 2.3.0, last updated 10.01.2023 - new features + bug fixes.

Hi Mike,

My pc hadn't been rebooted for a few days so thought I'd try that and everything now appears to be working. I've opened the tool on multiple tabs and no freezing.

I'll let you know if it happens again

If you look at your log, the Starfield Symbol Information indicator is causing problems, remove all custom indicators and cBots and try again.

Hi Mike,

I removed the Starfield indicator which didn't fix it. Removed everything else and problem remains.

According to your log, I would say you have an issue with your PC or cTrader installation, it shows indicators unloading and loading many times per second, with no crash information of the RR tool.

Removed and re-installed cTrader but no joy (RR tool and other settings loaded as well so not a 'clean' install)

PC is pretty new. Any other suggestions?

I think I might have spotted what's going on. It appears that sometimes, the 'New Market Order' confirmation box is popping up behind the cTrader window so that is waiting for a confirmation and on the chart window, it seems that things have frozen. When I try to reproduce it, it doesn't always do it - usually the box comes up where it should. I'll keep testing it.

Yep, that's definitely the problem - the confirmation box sometimes appearing behind the chart window. If I repeatedly test the tool on a single chart by setting up the buy/sell and then clicking either the Buy/Sell buttons for a market order, it will generally work as expected. Sometimes nothing happens and then the confirmation box can be found behind the main window. Once clicked, it works as normal.
At least I know what to do when it doesn't appear to respond.

The popup is modal, so you cannot do anything until you close the window, not sure why it's appearing behind your other windows.
