Issue with WAE Bot Reverse Signal

Today the WAE bot had a buy position opened, it alerted me that there is a Sell signal via telegram when checking the bot on c trader, it painted the vertical red line to show that there was a sell signal, but it didn't close the buy signal and also didn't open any sell trade, is this normal or something might be wrong?

Hi, thank you for reporting this, I will need the following information to investigate:

Your cBot log exported as a text file. help
Your cBot settings exported as a text file. help
The date and time when the trade opened.
The date and time when the date should have closed.

Please note that for a trade to close on the reverse signal, it is the WAE indicator which must show the signal and in the log, you would see the below test in the log, if you provide the information above we will investigate.

is there a way to extend the date range of the log info?

because my log only shows the period where the trade should have closed but it doesn't show on the log when the initial trade opened.

or was the log affected when stopped the instance then started it again?

yes, if you stop and restart the log clears, edit your post above and add links to the cBots settings and the other information as I can run a backtest and see what happened, but the vertical line is for opening trade and not closing on the reverse.

Also, there are many rules which can prevent an order opening even if the vertical line is drawn:

Max spread limit
A trade is already open and not yet closed

There was a buy trade running, i think you just clarified my issue.

so i thought the WAE bot works in a way that if it gets a new signal in the opposite direction of the initial trade, it will close the running trade and open a new signal always.

I agree the trade rules are below for closing trades and it does state a position should close on a reverse signal.

Let me investigate this further for you and if there is a bug I will get it fixed asap.

I had a good look at the code logic and compared it to the documentation and what Close on Reverse means is when there is a reverse signal dictated by the number of WAE bars, the WAE reverse option works independently to the actual signal to enter a trade as shown with a vertical line. This was a feature suggestion by customers and added to the system you can find out more in the release notes:

You have 3 WAE bars to enter a trade and 5 WAE bars to exit, this is why the trade did not close.
