It's the same position that's not been closed

I have the news manager with an instance of EURUSD with inside all the Symbols I use

Can you start a new cBot instance and follow the steps below.

Open the AUD-NRM.json file, change the setting value to true
Start an instance of the smart grid for the symbol AUDUSD
when a trade opens, within 1-min it will close.

use the settings below and turn off the news manager

So I restart the news manager with the news with time to activate it, and then I start the bot instance you sent me right? Or I do it manually with the .JSON?

Stop the news manager, it is no longer required for this test.

You can simulate the news event by editing the AUD-NRM.json file, by changing the value to true.

open a new cBot instance
load the settings above, start the cBot
a trade will open quickly and after 1 min it will close

I think I have found the issue anyway, the problem is with the News Manager cBot, I am investigating and if a bug is found I will publish an update.

Ok I started the bot, so now it should open and close a position?

Ok it opened the position and closed it, it also closed the position the bot opened before with the other instance

What should I do now?

The smart grid is working correctly, I would run some tests and start a single instance of the news manager with mins before and after set to 3 and edit the CSV file for a single AUDUSD news event 5 mins in the future.

This test should prove that everything is working ok.

I am also running the same test with 2 symbols AUUSD and EURGBP

I would like to thank you for your patience, I seem to have duplicated your issue as an order is not closing even after the NRM file shows true, leave it with me to fix and I will let you know when its published.

Hi, Davide,

I have just published updates for both the News Manager and the Smart-Grid, they have been tested with multiple symbols and they seem to work ok.

News Manager v2.1.3
Smart Grid v3.04

You can see the version number in the cBot log.

You can also download the latest files from your ClickAlgo account downloads.

Let me know how you get on, please note that it will now close both manual and automated placed trades for a symbol when a news event happens.

I have tried the new version, and it seems like it closed the position. this morning one hour before the news it closed the position, but reopened immediately another one in the opposite direction instead of not making trades for the next 4 hours.
The NRM was saying true (the symbols are EURGBP)

can you share a screenshot of the cBot log showing the symbol that closed and the other one that opened?

When the news manager pauses trading it stops new orders, but will still manage existing open trades.

I have restarted the bot to see if it was going to close the position so I don't have anymore the log
It was for EURGBP at 7:00 (UTC+1) it closed the position and after 1 second reopened it in the other direction, I will not restart the bot and I will monitor what happens

The behaviour above usually happens when the trend cycle changes, this would be in the log. We are going to also add more information to the Smart grid log when a news even starts, stops and closes trades.
